SP Whaleback tender in N scale ?

Hi all
reading this with interest and thinking about ....

Nobody with spare time and CAD knowledge is planning to do an ESPEE whaleback tender ( shapeways or any different technology like resin casting or ..) ?
I sure sure will be in for some for my Bachmann Consolidations and the Mogul ( I plan in near future to convert one of these into a 0-6-0- S12 switcher )
This is a particular design, I know, but will be of some interest to SP modelers as nothing is available today.
Well, a suggestion :)

If you REALLY can't live without in of these…

I did a quick check comparing the Whaleback from the Oriental Limited SP C-9 with the cover from an Atlas 50 000 000 Series 42' Steel Coil Car. They are really close. Close enough for government work. You might be able to kit bash a version.

I've been hoping and praying that SOMEONE would do a whaleback tender for a long time...I've even considered trying to do one myself but I just don't have the time to learn the software and then try to create one. If anyone else wants to take this on, I'll buy at least one (probably more). I think I still have the plans and other info needed. I've kitbashed one for a Mikado before but we didn't have the decal rivets that we now have (I embossed the rivets one at a time) and won't be doing that again. LMK...

Mine will not come ready to run or to be used with unmodified frame.  Most likely one would use a stretched  frame of there engine they are attaching it to.  But my casting will be superior to a shapways version, no stepping.

I have a flyer from GHQ with a photo of an cast N Scale SP whaleback tender and said "Comming December 2011" (Correction, looks like it was expected Winter 2008/9!).   The photo showed it was already done and ready for mass production... yet.. nothing.  And now I'm sad. 

I've always had a whaleback on the back of my mind for CG N Scale, but with how little time I get to dedicate toward Shapeways and how much time it takes keeping things "printable" (funny how they print perfectly for months, then suddenly are deemed unprintable), it's just not something I can see happening in the near or distant future. :(

I like to look of that Vanderbilt tender. My C-9 has the "sausage" tender (I believe the SP guys call it) and was the only C-9 I could get at the time although I did want the Vanderbilt.

One for the C-9 and another one for the SP Mikado conversion.  I hope they become available soon.

That's a Vandy tender, not a whaleback tender.

Superturbine, are you going to do the C-9 boiler as well (and I assume mount on a Bachmann 2-8-0)? Pleasepleasepleaseplease
