UP type 4-12-2 builds #3 and #4 are well under way.  The tenders installed are Kato GS4 and are wired just for test running purposes.  The boiler of engine #9079 was the first boiler I built and is now used just for test fitting.

Built an experiment.  I'm trying to figure out how to replicate position light signals on the facia without killing my budget.  I had the idea of using cab signals as a model.  I built this as an experiment to see if it would work, and how visible the signals would be.

After months of fabricating parts for my scratchbuilt model of coach BCOL 6508, this week was the start of the assembly phase.

Dual AB brake equipment and water tank added to underframe:

Vestibule steps added to underframe:

Completed underframe:

Upper end blocks added to each end of the Con-Cor roof (these will be filed back to match the taper of the ends):

Sides added to Con-Cor roof:

and locating ridges for underframe and inner vestibule end added inside:

Next up is installation of the non-vestibule end, vestibule roof, and inner and outer vestibule ends, and tapering those upper end blocks.

I like it. The analog gauges and signals have a sort of steampunk look to them. I think its perfect.

There's a shyness found in reason
Apprehensive influence swallow away
You seem to feel abysmal take it
Then you're careful grace for sure
Kinda like the way you're breathing
Kinda like the way you keep looking away

I finally... FINALLY!!!... put the railcam outside this week: https://www.therailwire.net/forum/index.php?topic=24152.msg342383#msg342383

While I was up on the ladder installing the camera, one of the Google street view cars drove by. Who knows - maybe I'll be captured for posterity. Or, considering the angle they were at, more like posterior. :D
