I spent Saturday night with my family throwing a 50th anniversary party for my parents at the Lock House Museum in Havre de Grace, Maryland.  It was a beautiful evening, and approximately sixty friends and family members had a great time.  I was probably the only one in attendance, though, who stayed attentive to the goings-on nearby on the Northeast Corridor and CSX's Philly Sub.

From our vantage point, I could see Amtrak's Susquehanna River bridge looking southeast:


. . . and looking northeast, I could see CSX's bridge (looking through the span of U.S. Route 40's bridge):


The trains were really active that evening (these two pictures were taken only seconds apart!), adding to the fun that I had with my family.

Dave, Harve De Grace is a beautul little town.  My younger son got married there last year.  Wanted to take train photos but wifey said not now and pay attention to the wedding.

I was born in Havre de Grace, and it is really nice down on the water.  Back in 1970, of course, my first trip from the hospital to my parents' home in Aberdeen, Maryland would have taken me over what was then Penn Central's tracks (now the Northeast Corridor) and the B&O's Royal Blue Line.  If only I could see what I saw back in those days but cannot remember.

I went on the dinner train about a month ago when I was visiting my grandparents. A really nice ride with great food.
