the inevitable: things change

the fact: without change there is no opportunity or possibility
the possibility: the outcome may be something better
the opportunity: embrace it as a new adventure and enjoy the journey
the regardless reality: things will be leared, skills will be enhanced, the results will be different
the silver lining: difference is the place of growth, deepening, and being more centered
the truth: nostalgia only exists in history, without change there would be no nostalgia
the challenge: may nostalgia be appreciated (but not paralyzing) while moving on to better things

Ed, the best of all in the changes coming.
Your work has always been inspiring and will continue to be.
Thanks for your work and sharing!

sincerely

Looking forward to it.  I'll bring along a BL-2 to properly work the yard...

I'm in.  If I can't scrape up anything good to run from what's left of my decimated N scale fleet, I call dibs on the RF&P motors you've got.

You got it. Although they may be mixed in with GEs on PYSE.

That's not only cool with me, but it's prototypical to mix RF&P Geeps with SBD and CR motive power in the early- to mid-1980s.  If the NCR had survived to December 1985, who knows?  Maybe RF&P motors would have made it to York.

Oh, and PY in PYSE is likely Potomac Yard, but what is SE?  Selkirk, New York?

Yes, SE is the Conrail abbreviation for Selkirk, NY.
The fabric of reality has begun to fray.

Yep. Selkirk.

PYSE handles overhead traffic between the two points and also takes any cars from Windsor St for New England and Canada (via Selkirk). Likewise the southbound equivalent, SEPY usually drops off Canadian and New England traffic for local destinations and picks up cars headed to Conrail's Southern interchange gateway. The train is easy to pick out because of its regional content and because of the frequent appearances of GE diesels on it. This was because Conrail's GE fleet was largely based out of Selkirk. Here she is with pure CR power.

Putting this on my calendar to attend. Not as an operator, though--I'll just stand around and make fun of everyone else...

Perfect.

There's not going to be too much operation. Think of it like operational hors d'oeuvre as opposed to a full meal.

So, no pig bombs required? Just bacon bits?

Haha, precisely. I even have a bacon grinder we can use! It's a fully stocked house, after all.
