that is true though....  you added bench work and subtracted permanent track adhesive.

now... I admit.. if you ballast it won't be an issue... assuming you secure the ballast with something.. and don't just dump it down the right-of-way and let gravity do the job.

come to think of it... you ARE modeling the prototype...  so that WOULD be the right way to do it.

Curious minds want to know your ballasting solution (grouting the main doesn't count)  :D

Lol, I do actually intend to glue the stuff down, jeez! I'm just waiting until I get the switches going properly first, because being able to lift and shift things makes installation easier.

And what's this?

Is CP Windsor now under CTC control? Why, yes, yes it is!

I'm not going to say JMRI's panel pro is the easiest software to use, but it got the job done. Now to go wire up those other eight tortoises...

I'd like to. But not in this sprint.

Never thought about applying Agile to model railroading! Run it past the scrum master.

Lol. But yeah, that's one of the ways I've been thinking about it.

Whatever happened to that article/document you were working on in applying those principals to model railroading?

Isn't all layout building a scrum :) ....

I know it sounds stupid, but I'm really excited by my progress today. I got my SMD8 programmed and throwing the elready installed switches at the north end of Windsor St at CP Loucks.
I also setup the switches in Panel Pro too.

I now need to install my new tortoises there, and keep moving north.

Nah..."electronic" progress is still progress!

I feel for you. My modeling goal for this week is to reformat and re-set-up my Pi. It's launching a "phantom" instance of JMRI on boot, which I think is being caused by the leftovers of all my struggles trying to get JMRI to launch on boot. I've definitely come to the conclusion that electronic progress is just as legitimate as progress in any of the myriad of other skills required in this hobby.
