I am planning taking a little break from the NCR though to explore some other stuff. I've realized I've bought a bunch of PC crap lately and I think I'm going to do something with it. I'm thinking a PC focused TTRAK layout with my parents (and other fools I can loop in).
You can start a new Engineering Report and call it "Grout meets Unitrack".

Those views of the city scape look pretty damn good.  Hopefully I'll have a basement to put it in when you bail for the suburbs.

Haha, you mean the further suburbs?

And thanks!

Ops session or are we gutting the layout for transport again?

Well, given the time I had fighting with the switch at CP LOUCKS yesterday, you might just be shoveling out ashes... lol.

But no, the plan is for the 2nd to be the big last hurrah for it. I have a few aesthetic things I want to finish up and some gremlins to work out operationally, but that's the plan.

Then it's onto the next thing.

I'm thinking that, during the moving period, it's going to be a PC TTRAK layout. I already have that corner and a module currently in progress with my dad.

After THAT, we're looking at O scale "railroading" (it's gonna be fun) and I'm thinking an N scale display loop (with as few turnouts as possible).

Why any turnouts?

Kudos for trying to see how far you can get with this project, knowing it's coming down. I can't bring myself to keep going if I know it's gotta come down.

I also like to idea of PC era layout, might be fun to watch!

It's tough, I'm not gonna lie. That's part of the reason to have some sort of capstone event: a reason to actually do anything new.
