I received my replacement male universals today from Atlas and...   Is there a trick to putting them on to the flywheel shaft?  Do they press-fit onto the shaft?  Or just how do these things fit?  Thanks.

I set them on the shaft and use the blunt end of a wood chopstick to press it on.

Best way is just a little CA on the end of the shaft on the broken U joint. The new part has a larger opening on one side. Bob.

Thanks, guys. I finally got them in by white gluing the male universal to the blunt end of a 3/16" drill bit, then pushing them onto the shaft.  The loco is running well again.
