Appears to be aluminum, and those numbers look suspiciously UP-ish.

I vote this one. Kato loves them modern passenger equipment. Maybe they will make  some special editions for Amtrak to sell on their website, like that parlor car.

Yep, those are the Auto-Train racks. Hope the also do the Superliner II that are used on that train.

Interesting.  What is the source of the model photo?  Definitely an Amtrak auto rack, which is great for the legions of Auto-Train modellers.   :|

If they were willing to tool different sides (or just print vent holes, like the Athearn Auto-Max), it looks like they could also do a pretty good rendition of CNA and CP.
