Maybe Tim and Andy will get off my back now? LOL!

Yes, but only until next weekend, right Andy?  :D

Great to see some photos; the C-425 on a work train was a very common sight on the Chetwynd Sub in your era.

Word.

I also had a very productive day of railfanning the Thursday before, but that'll be a post for another day.

I know, I know, it is not steam but I just finished this for my wife. She has a Smokey Bear / fire prevention train and I found a photo of 5902 and made an attempt to model it. Not too bad IMHO. I have spent more time on this than any other loco that I have worked on because I had to run fiber optics to get the lights into the nose and also ditch lights. they look great when lit up. You know, if mama isn't happy . . . . . . . . .

This is for show coming up in October. Kids will get a kick out of it.

Looks good but I notice the cab isn't locked in right. if you are using DCC u need to use a K1C decoder if you use a K1B the larger light keeps the cab from fitting.

You can also just sand the top of the LED down so it is flush with the frame.  Just another option if you have the K1B already installed.  Did that a lot with the SD40-2's before the K1C came out.

Thanks guys. I do have a decoder, but do not remember the #. The cab fit fine before I put fiber optics in for the nose lights so I think they may be causing the problem. I did not see the gap 'till I made photo and as we know a photo shows all. Some tinkering to do.

I'm not even going to ask about the happy waving bears...but I think that the engineer is probably more than a bit nervous

Maybe that's how the cab got loose, bears looking for a happy meal

Hmm... bears give me

Doug, it is giving me "this video is private" when I click on it. Albeit I'm trying it from my new phone, which is my first smartphone, so for all I know it could be the cause of the problem.
