There's a guy in TB who went all Victor Frankenstein on a CNW unit, I believe he used 628 parts on the rear. http://www.trainboard.com/grapevine/showthread.php?148470-Phase-II-C425-progress
Yeah the nice thing about doing the CNW C425 is the radiator section is exactly the same as that on the C628. As they were the last C425s built in Schenectady, this was likely due to Alco becoming more uniform in carbody construction, or perhaps using whatever parts they had on hand. The last is just speculation.
