Hi Gang
I wanted to let you know that Walter has just finished the N scale Type 3 Magnetic Signalman Highway crossing signal, most commonly and affectionately known as a Wig Wag.  I hope you will get over to http://www.showcaseminiatures.net/century-foundry.html and Check it out.

and Joe’s rail fan trip
Also in my blog http://www.showcaseminiatures.net/2/post/2013/08/from-rail-fannin-to-wigwag-n.html  I have posted a picture of 29 UP SD90’s all lashed up in one string.  They look like they could literally pull the town they temporarily reside to a new location somewhere else.  The story I was told about them is that they have cracked frames and are on standby until UP and EMD work out a resolution or plan to get them back in working order.

It was nice meeting you too Joe. Thanks for bringing such fine quality products to market. As you've mentioned, Dunsmuir is a small town but the wealth of railroad knowledge is huge. Hope to see you again in the near future!

I'll be placing an order for the signals and a wig wag when I get home. Looking good!

Thanks for all these new great products. Is there any chance that a Hall disc "banjo" signal might be made? Heck, even a banjo style head to mount on bridges.

A lot of the projects we take on depend on access to technical drawings and dimensional information.  We have been gathering a pretty good library of information on the Magnetic Signalman, and Griswold but not much available on the Hall Disc.

After a lot of searching, I found part of an article from Reading Society of Model Engineers that talks about Banjo dimensions: http://rsme.org/ra/signals.php It is part 14. Hopefully somebody here might have the actual newsletter. Thanks again Joe for bringing all these unique signals and models to the market!

After reading this thread Saturday evening, I immediately ordered two.  They arrived today!!

Now comes the hard part for a guy with 10 thumbs - assembly.  I have a prominent spot for these on my layout, and an Open House in about 6 weeks, so I'm going to give it a shot.

BTW, the Showcase Miniatures website does provide painting tips.

Sorry to rehash an old thread, but I want to see some Hall banjo signals! According to this thread on the Reading Modeler forum: http://www.readingmodeler.com/index.php/forum/taking-a-ride-on-the-real-reading/101-hall-signals?start=6 some drawings of Banjos are found in the June 1972 NMRA Bulletin. Anybody want to scan some drawings?
