Chris- great progress! The layout is really coming together nicely.

What thickness styrene are you using for your roads?

Chris your roads look great. I admire your tenacity in continuing laying out, cutting and painting your roads all at once rather than a little here a little there and not completing them. You really have an "eye" for the way they are laid out especially the crossings both road and sidewalk.

Thanks, for sharing,

Barry

I used .060" black styrene from e-bay.

Did some small greenery so I can fit this bridge in place

It's all still wet. And I will add a bunch of bursh along the sides.

The fence looks groovy.
If you want the poster to be thinner or even have the planks show through then sand the back of the paper before you cut it out of the sheet.
(I used a fine sanding sponge)
Makes it sooooper thin.

Then you could run a toothpick to press the poster and get the gap dents here and there.

I imagine it was intended to be "brush."

If ya want it even thinner, print the images on white decal sheet...

Hi, it's me again.

Some wet work under the road bridge.

Pins are more re-attached cork base

I tried to give these some weathering and still not happy with the decals. Probably gonna re-paint and do it for the third time  :|

It isn't the decal film that is the problem, it is the silver color being different under the decal. Guess I will trim closer to the edges.

Looks OK from these many feets  :P

But what is happening to cause the wavy lines along the lettering?

Overall, the layout is looking great.

Printer I guess. And now I'm out of paper... If it prints like that again I will use the laser printer at work.

That's a classic case of toner shrinking toward the edges of larger-ish areas when it's heated in the fuser, leaving cracks along the middle. Usually only does it on decal paper, because of the smooth surface. It could be touched up with a Sharpie, although the Sharpie ink may do funky things when it's hit with Dullcote; maybe flat black paint instead. Might try an inkjet as an alternative, if available. The larger decals look better, but I have a feeling the only way to totally correct it is to cover the ends of the tanks completely with decal. Might try cutting them oversize to start, and then trimming them after they're applied.
