There sure seems to be a wide selection of colours at Home Depot still.

Chris, I liked the gray with red windows myself ,but what I like even more is the angled wall. Would you care to share how youbdid it?

I went to Home Depot, Michaels, Pat Catans, and Hobby Lobby looking for red primer. Nobody had it, just brown primer that I painted Middlesex with. Had to go to Pep Boys to find red primer.

On that wall I just scored the back of the wall till it was almost through, then I hit it with sovent glue and bent it. You can see the inside score here:

I touched up the top cap area with auto scratch filler.

I've been to Home Depot, Lowes, Michaels, A.C. Moore, Walmart and others, and the red primers seem to becoming more scarce. I found a decent selection of different red primers at Advance Auto Parts.

That was pretty much what I had figured Thanks. This bashing of buildings to fit the space is rather enjoyable for me.I like checking your's and David's buildings for ideas I can use. :D

Ace Hardware has a nice "Red Oxide" primer that I've used:

Long back flat plus some other structures on the layout.

Switching up brick building base color between Red Oxide, Boxcar Red, Grimy Black and a dark Desert Fox yellowbrown keeps things real yet slightly separated.

Since we're on the topic the Camouflage tan is a great "buff" brick color.

Duplicolor Red Primer is a decent color. It's more in the red hue than the typical brown. I use the stuff in the 1:1 shop.

Tonight I noticed another section of cork that was lifting. I cut it out and lifted up the track enough to get glue under it and re-attached it all back.

And that last building I painted:

Also painted the windows here. I tried several different colors, I dis-liked this one the least:

Chris, now that's a prime example of a candidate to get the basic white weathered and chipped paint look that I was referring too. The windows, door, cornices, etc....but leave that brick color.

Instead of striving for the most amazing roads to ever grace a model railroad I decided to switch to roads that really exist on a layout in my basement. The roads are a big roadblock so I just kept going till all the pieces were done. Then I sprayed them with charcoal and grey primer till they looked even and gritty up close. And now all of those pieces are glued down to the layout.

Next I will mix up a ink wash and lightly spray it with an airbrush to overall darken the roads. After I'll add darker areas down the lanes. Fingers crossed.

Airbrushed

This is a small masked spot that shows before and after the ink wash.
