Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

Thank God the cash strapped Province has the money to whittle away on an un-necessary visual redesign of what was a timeless image. Meticulously maintained, GO's fleet isn't in need of paint, certainly not the motive power. It's also ugly as s**t.

So easy to spend someone else's money... money you never earned  :x

Careful. There may be an :ashat: who works for said consultant.

(I don't know that we did the image redesign, but we do a fair bit of work for GO Transit.)

Metrolinx needs to dip into our pockets for another $50billion to fund what is seeming to be more of an ivory tower than anything else.

It makes me feel even better to know the consultant(s) could be from outside of the country  :RUEffinKiddingMe:

On the bright side, no doubt Kato will do this scheme and continue to annoy SPF  :D

Other way around. I work for a Canadian company.

I guess I'm in the minority, because I kinda like it.  It does seem like an update to me, and I like the brighter color.

As for cost, the article stated, "The change of colour on buses and trains does not add any cost, she said, as it is part of ongoing refurbishing."  (Emphasis added.)

Metrolinx is a Gov't agency, no matter what they may wish to believe. Created by the currnet Gov't... the same ones that cancelled a Nat Gas power plant already under construction if an effort to garner votes, then told us it only cost $40 million (as if that is somehow an insignificant sum). Now we find the real cost is more like $500 million, and counting. You may understand the inability of Ontarians to beleive a lick of what comes from our Gov't and their agencies.

:|           It may be a nice fresh look , but as one person wrote to the paper, they really should try and solve their operating problems first like signal system in the winter.      Nate Goodman (Nato). Salt Lake, Utah. Not in Canada so I need to be critical of our own Utah Transit Authority first.

Apparently you Canucks and us Yanks have a lot more in common than beer .. your local and provincial governments are just as incompetent as the State of Maryland and our Federal Government ;)

Curious. They somehow feel that changing the tint and shape of their green scheme gives it an updated look. Yet the leave their painfully dated 60s/70s era logo unchanged...  :ashat:

The whole livery looks like something from the 60s/70s. The 'old' livery the MP40s wear looks far more modern imo.

Word has it the new scheme is dead. I sure hope that's true... would hate to spend time shooting the old stuff before its gone.
