Walthers has announced/released five new buildings and two new water towers, and they are available now.

New, Huh?  Really?
If selling an assembled kit makes it "new", then so be it.

The Walthers structures have been known and out for awhile. Not really "new" as in new tooling, but re-purposed and looking quite nice.

That "modern" water tower was overpriced as a kit now it is even more overpriced.

:|          The news is not all depressing, Bachmann at some point in time is doing the B&O EM 1 steam locomotive in N and the UP DD 40 X Centennial with good quality sound. Yes we need to see the presently announced Alco Diesel switcher before any of this will occur and the NW-2 switcher makes no sense. Nate Goodman (Nato).

:|           I think I have figured out Bachmann's reasoning for the NW-2 . KATO is slow in releasing their NW-2 and road names are limited. Bachmann could use only a slightly modified mechanism from the Alco loco if it ever releases for their NW-2 and offer a ton of road names right off the bat, also DCC. Nate Goodman (Nato). Who may be wrong.

Would have rather had a SW9 or SW1200 from them.

Kato has announced a PRR L1!

A video was leaked about a new feature only made for KOBO version:
Not a valid youtube URL

I realize that the video is a joke, but are the really?
This thread is supposed to be for actual, confirmed releases.

With the massive number of new releases we have to digest, it was nice to see some humor tossed into the mixture...

"and offer a ton of road names right off the bat,"

You mean like the 'ton of roadnames' that they have released on the GE 44-tonner, GE 70-tonner, GP-7, RS-3, Spectrum 2-8-0 - the list is endless - B'Mann historically has been worse about releasing road names on their N-Scale locos than KATO!!!!

Granted the S-4 hasn't shown up yet, for some strange reason, but in the year since the first announcement there has been no hint of additional road names coming on that body style either.

The releases in N Scale are pretty unexciting. (Mr wallet is jumping for joy)

I'm sure glad I have taken up another scale, On30 battery powered radio control.

Good point, I haven't purchased anything from Bachmann in years, but I have noticed their road name selection for the 44 ton is limited. I recall a lot of bantering on various forums about how much these locos were needed, and the great job Bachmann did with them, I'd think there'd be a steady stream of them coming out.

I picked up both of the switchers they did and love them.  But you have to understand there's a world of distance between what folks want and say they want to buy and what they actually spend money on.  I'm as guilty as anyone...for the longest time I wanted a large scale A3 Skywarrior (flew on them from time to time in Vietnam) and one just showed up in 1/48 scale by Trumpeter...guess what...it's still on the hobby shop shelf and not in my stash at home...  Oh well.  It's our nature.  :D  I suspect, as it has been proven time and time again, what the web says, may not be what actually happens in the hobby shops in the real world.

Hi; I'm the "new guy" at Rapido but I have to admit I don't recall any announcements by Rapido about a Canadian hopper...  Could you be more specific about what car and scale you are referring to do I can investigate your question... Thanks !
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!
