Now, if we could get the SDP45 in N I would be happy.  Need those GN units for pool trains.

An SDP45 would be cool, even the Conrail folks could employ them. ( just not in the GN variation ).
I’m not here to argue

It's Athearn Genesis, so they are doing the correct EL version...and in the wording, sounds like they have plans to tool up a post MK rebuild SD40M-2 version as well.

Have they announced the winners in the various categories at NTS yet? If so what scale dominated? Who won for modules? I have great hopes for a good friend to get best of show for his stand alone large layout Golden~Blackhawk & Central City

New, Huh?  Really?
If selling an assembled kit makes it "new", then so be it.

All I can find is a YouTube taken 3 years ago but he has added to and revamped much of the modular layout and has taken best of show since this was taken. Its an amazing layout and is large enough that he has a team of 3 to four couples helping him run the thing at shows. Children love it but you will notice the plexiglass barrier once in awhile in the vid.

This is rumored to be his last year competing as he is in his late 70's. Oh, he's not old, I think he wants more time skiing and snorkeling around the world  :D

The show isn't over yet, I don't know who is there taking pictures, and I am as anxious to see them as you guys. All of the NTS that I have been to you get so wrapped up in the goings on that sometimes pictures don't happen much. Who in N scale is good at reporting, isn't John Sing (?) or was he just photographing the NSE show here in Medford? I take it that most from here didn't go but if you get a hold of asarge get him to snap some and send them in.

I've taken some but haven't had time to download and then upload. Been too busy to even read emails the last two days.

The tooling might be good, but the artwork looks suspect.  That Pennsy car can't be correct, can it?

Bryan:

The new Bachmann 55-ton 2-bay hopper looks like a USRA design and the PRR did have 300 of the cars delivered in 1920 and their PRR class was GLd.  This of course pales in comparison to the 30,000 PRR-design GLa 2-bay hoppers.  Of the 300 PRR GLd hoppers represented by the Bachmann model, only 30 survived by 1955, so the Shadow Keystone lettering on the model is not likely correct.  This model would more likely be correct in Circle Keystone lettering.
