Test shots as in photos and no actual model? Any opinions on it or links to pictures?
Thanks for the information, Bryan. I/we appreciate it.

Test shots = pilot model.  There was an unpainted pilot model on display, along with prototypes representing various methods of fabricating the trucks.  The model is done.  The remaining feature to finalize is the truck.  Mike Skibbe probably got photos, which most likely will be included in his M:160 post whenever he can come up for air from his day job.

Don't see Walthers on that list, they must have been there, it was in their hometown.

They were there, nothing new on display.

Is this a for sure thing? What am I going to do with my decal sets for an MILW Bicentennial? I guess the superdetailing and paiting it yourself option is still available, but it's a tricky paint scheme to do.

They had finished models on display.

:?  Is this perhaps the triple-57' spine car set?  I was never aware they were developing another 53' set.  I hope it's the former.

The U25C was announced as an all-new state-of-the-art model, by a storied manufacturer re-entering the N scale market.  Why anyone would assume that old technology or old tooling would be utilized on this model or subsequent ones

hehe there is no old tooling for a N Scale U25c ...

They had sample there, unfortunately, the photo I took did not turn out well. I have a stripped shell that is destined for this scheme, was kinda bummed about Kobo doing this until I saw it, did not notice anything special about it, and the fuel tank is too long, so I am going to proceed on mine with BLMA fans, grabs, wipers and all weather window,  shortened tank and no drop step & chain (another Milwaukee quirk) maybe I'll even have it done before I retire!

I was really hoping that out of the box all of the class lights, ditch lights and headlights on these would be available to light up, but it looks like it I'm going to have to do some drilling and modification.

I'll leave Children of the Corn to someone else, but I was thinking a Field of Dreams module. Of course it has to be Iowa corn, so this might not work.

I'm in Iowa, got it covered. Even heading to the field this weekend.

So, I gather from the title of this thread that, for some of you, N-Scale Conventions have a religious significance.  Kind of like a Papal Encyclical or something, huh?  :D

From Webster's online dictionary:

Quote
ca·non·i·cal adjective \-ni-kəl\

Definition of CANONICAL

1
: of, relating to, or forming a canon
2
: conforming to a general rule or acceptable procedure : orthodox
3
: of or relating to a clergyman who is a canon
4
: reduced to the canonical form <a canonical matrix>
— ca·non·i·cal·ly  adverb
See canonical defined for English-language learners »

First Known Use of CANONICAL

15th century
Other Christian Religious Terms

Pentateuch, blasphemy, curate, doxology, eremite, iconoclasm, liturgy, orison, pneuma, reliquary

Paul

Anybody know if there was any update from Rapido on passenger cars?

I am so eagerly awaiting the car that will become the Youngstown for CSX- former Conrail car.
The 10-5 sleeper, that is.

Website just says coming soon.  I was REALLY hoping they might have had samples at the convention.

Rapido wasn't there, although they released an email newsletter last week.  No word on any N scale product.

From Webster's online dictionary:

We nerds also use it in other contexts, too. Most notably in Star Trek or Star Wars where once something appears on screen, it cannot be disputed and must be accepted. Well, usually, rank bars of Imperial officers were not always consistent.
