NICE!! With load. This will sell well 'round here.

Wow, praise for a Micro-Trains new freight car!

Hmm... the apocalypse
is nigh...

Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.
The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.
"It works! It works!"

Um, did everyone else miss something or am I thinking of another car?  Didn't we already know about the log car since last year?  Not only it was all over the Interwebs (and trains shows, such as the one in Springfield), I even seen printed ads in the modeling magazines.  You guys act like this was a new and exciting news...

Or is this another, brand new log car....

I think this is just the first production (or preproduction?) photo of the actual model.   I believe all we've seen before is drawings, but I could be wrong.

I think the car looks fantastic.  I don't think they ran much--if at all--in my area/era, but the load is certainly going to be purchased when they are available separately.   Plenty of staked pole loads in gons and bulkhead flats.

I'm assuming were talking about a 3-bay 70 ton. Yes?

I hope I'm wrong and it's the 2-bay 50 ton.

Thinking the 50 ton is shorter than 40'

Could someone ask N scale Kits about the F39?  It's six months past due.

Delays due to laser-cut wood contractor.  Fall 2013.

And the 70 ton is longer.   ;)

From a TB post, it might be the 50 Ton 2-bay.  That would be one car off my modeling list.

Yes, this is the first photo of an actual model we have seen, only drawings until now. Excellent! These run in No. CA and OR with Roseburg reporting marks. Will buy these for my OR shortline.

Second news:

No major Kato announcement.
Kato/Kobo - SD40-2 Milw bicentennial.
No major InterMountain announcement.

MTL - Milw coach in July releases.

Brian .. tell Kato they need to do the Veterans P42 ASAP  -- add an extra $20 to the price, and donate the difference to Wounded Warrior project :)

Yes, this is the first photo of an actual model we have seen, only drawings until now.

Still not much of an announcement as the drawings pretty clearly showed the car.  Might as well have been a photo.
