He better have the crop circle option or I'm flaming the whole project.....

If it's based on a prototype across the street from them, it won't be crop circles. We fortunately don't have to irrigate here in so. IL.

(Craig is going to regret being Mr. Funny Man on this "announcement". They're going to dealing with serious inquiries for years.)

You want crop circles, do your own.  That's modeling.

Also, who is going to do the first scarecrow for this?   Do your own Children of the Corn modular.

Burning the surplus won't increase prices.

I'll leave Children of the Corn to someone else, but I was thinking a Field of Dreams module. Of course it has to be Iowa corn, so this might not work.

You know what I mean

The U25C was announced as an all-new state-of-the-art model, by a storied manufacturer re-entering the N scale market.  Why anyone would assume that old technology or old tooling would be utilized on this model or subsequent ones when it was specifically stated otherwise is beyond my understanding.  It was stated definitively by Charlie Vlk that the model would not be based on prior Arnold design methods and would consist of all new tooling utilizing current design standards.  He also stated that the body tooling would have variations based on roads offered.  I think we should wait until the model hits the market instead of assuming beforehand it will not be up to snuff.

Were there any announcements from N Scale Kits about the Queen Mary flat car? Anyone hear anything about it?

Test shots were on display during the Swap Meet and public show.  The remaining item to be finalized is the truck frame.  The target release is the fall of this year.

Someone needs to do a center pivot irrigation system for this corn.....maybe with real working water.....or a darn good simulation.  Would instantly catapult midwest to west farm scenes from last place modeling choices to first place.  It would be as easy as plaster mountains to model, and flat, too.

Era specific detail? Furrows versus no-till? Will Woodland Scenics make one of their vehicle "scenes", with the farmer arguing with the Monsanto rep about finding unlicensed corn seed in his field?

Test shots as in photos and no actual model? Any opinions on it or links to pictures?
Thanks for the information, Bryan. I/we appreciate it.

I see that WOT is releasing a new passenger car model in the future, I wonder what it is? Maybe a R50b or a B60...

Second news:

Kato/Kobo - SD40-2 Milw bicentennial.

Is this a for sure thing? What am I going to do with my decal sets for an MILW Bicentennial? I guess the superdetailing and paiting it yourself option is still available, but it's a tricky paint scheme to do.

It sounded like a good idea at the time... too bad the caboose wasn't in on the plan.

Speaking of which, what ever happened to GHQ and their sexy R50b?

At one time they were talking about doing a modernized P70 coach.  Even e-mailed them on my wishes.  A P70GSR or P70KR would be great.

Dang, all I want is a pre AC P70. About the GHQ R50b, I think that is was said that no updates to the project have been made in a year or two, so who knows?
