31  -  and all in the Box Car Red area, which is pretty damned surprising given how much insane effort I have put into matching colors in that range.

I got a 15 - all in the blue-green section.

Does that mean I should stay away from mixing Conrail Blue and PC green?

I took it again. Think I got a 21 last time. This time I stared at it when I was done for a few and then hit the button.

I got 11 this time.

Hmm... I got a -10...

Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.
The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.
"It works! It works!"

interesting test.  I got a 4,  also in the blue green section.    And I do model Conrail.  I don't "see" a problem,  a couple cold one's and I probably won't notice this deficiency.

If you hit submit in firefox, you get a perfect score

Well, isn't that interesting!

I used Firefox, so getting the perfect score apparently only works if you do NOTHING, then hit Submit.  It seems to work correctly if you actually try the test.

I wondered how someone got 1024 when the results bar, at least for my results, only showed 0-99.

From the comments, it sounds like most people have problems in the blue-green area.  Interesting...

Back when I took the test in November (and scored 4 (see the link to the original thread DKS provided earlier), my mismatch was in the blue to red area.

As far as the large scores go, if you submit the test without moving any of the color squares, you get a really high score.  It depends on the initial random arrangement of the color squares. The score not only counts the out of order colors, it also rates how far out of the correct position each mismatch was.  When I submitted the unsorted test, my score was 919.  I guess that in the worse possible mismatch, the score would be 1024.

Odd that there are odd number scores . If a swatch is placed incorrectly then where it should go is populated by a swatch that is wrong as well .

But the incorrectly placed swatch is also rated by the degree of how incorrectly it was placed in relation to the fixed rightmost and leftmost swatches.  At least that is how I understand that test to work.

Peteski:  That was the only thing I could think of.  Otherwise one couldn't have a higher score than the number of blocks.  Since mine were in two contiguous groups, and only slightly out of place, it was probably coincidence that my score matched the number of misplaced blocks.

Agreed. My score of 4 was also due to 4 adjacent swatches being out of place (most likely by only one place each).
