My Jul/Aug issue of NSR arrived today and as usual, another slew of Kato SD-40's is in the arrivals section. Guess what. NO MILWAUKEE ROAD!!! When was the last time Kato served us Milw RD SD40's???? Or NP SD-45's???? What's with the icky NS SD-40's??? This is inhumane treatment to mankind ignoring Milw Rd and NP fans, Kato. Puuuleeeeze get your act together!!

Inquiring minds want to know...
You`ll never find a Philly cheese steak on a menu in Philadelphia. It`s called a cheesesteak and we all know where it`s from...

I wish all i had to whine about was a correct model with the wrong paint. Its pretty easy to pay a painter over building every locomotive you need lol. Good thing you dont model Santa Fe steam!!!!

Agreed. If those NS SD's are so "icky", buy one and slap some orange paint on it. It's not like the Milwaukee scheme is difficult to paint on a all black loco.

I bet they do one eventually, just because they have done the NW2 in Milwaukee before.

I can only guess your talking about the latest release of SD40-2's????  I don't remember MILW having SD40's.  I could be wrong though.  If there's a new release of SD40's announced, by all means do share!  Might save me from painting an SD40 shell a pretty blue color.

Those were announced months ago and are setting on store shelves right now.

I have a friend that just bought 3 of the IC's just for the purpose of repainting them PRR. We are talking about Kato, not Atlas, many different road names is just not their thing.

That Maersk unit is an NS loco - it was an ex CR SD40-2 that was painted up several years ago to promote the NS/Maersk partnership...

How does Kato determine what models are going the be produced. I would love to add some Montana Rail Link, SD 40, SD 45, SD 40-2 and SD 70 Ace units to my collection. I had one or two custom painted a few years back but was not happy with the results. I have five Atlas locomotives painted in MRL colors which are my favorites.

I should have posted "arrivals"as NSR calls it. Not "announcements". But seriously, I don't recall Kato doing Milw Rd SD40's or SD45's. They did CNW so you would think. BN is sharp. Gotta have that.

I think Kato did do MILW SD40-2's a while back.  Think it might have even been in the 1st run.  I imagine they can be found on ebay or at shows.  On the Kato USA homepage under the contact tab there is a suggest a model option.
