Been an hour or so and the Espee's are already sold out at MBK. Eight numbers and they had listed six of each.

I got mine and they are super nice looking.  The GF and I were having fun trying to read the super fine print on the SP cars with a magnifier.  Was able to make out "Southern Pacific Transportation Company..."

Haven't run them yet.  Trucks are BLMA (they say so) and the wheels seem to be the Fox Valley wide treads (that's what they look like to me).

SECOND RUN is out.   Apparently has been for a bit...MBK has had photos up.  I noticed the garish Golden West paint from their photo but turns out the actual model is not quite as bad.   Ideally I think I would have waited for a faded version but I have no idea if they even entertain such options at this time.   Mine took the slow boat, as I ordered them direct and WoT didn't update my address when I sent them the change notice.   So they arrived today after a vacation all around Texas.

THE INTERESTING thing about the Golden West/GVSR cars is the roof.   It comes with a nice "rusted silver" weathering.   Now, I'm not sure that it's really appropriate for the GVSR cars...the only roof shots I've seen are solid blue in color.   But I applaud the "trying something new" aspect, even if it's not spot on.  (it may be, I'm not saying that and I have no proof of it either way since the cars I've seen the roof on aren't the particular road numbers being sold.)

I also got the small BN/two-bar logo and also the unlettered green car to do as a spartan BN, and they both have what I assume to be a correct white roof.  I'm thinking I wish I'd bought a SP and WC...these are VERY nice cars.   I'll try to get pics ASAP.

EDIT: Nevermind, they have pics on their website:
A decent shot of the GVSR and its roof:

And the BN's:

I like the fact that the BN has a lower "small BN logo" than what most would consider typical.  A subtle difference but a good example of how paint schemes vary widely across series.  Here's some links to some close matches to the BN cars:

Data only?  Odd that WOT has the "stealth" paint without any BN markings.

Unlettered, Green, Dimensional Data only...

These cars are perfect for BN re-patched box cars, ex-BN cars in second ownership such as leased fleets, or for adding your railroad fleet markings.
