Darn, I thought it might be Pennsy related. A year ago, I noticed that the PRRT&HS announced they had been contacted by Rapido about a project. No other information was released, so I still hoping for something good and in N Scale.

Oh well, was posted on Facebook today and had all the HO guys guessing.

Didn't look for a loco announcement in a topic about passenger cars.

Not just a GMD-1 but an A-1-A truck GMD-1, the same as I have been scratch building for the last nine years.  It's almost done, and when it is, this one will hit the stores....   At which point I'll take two.  Numbers 1000 and 1070 please.

While I am always excited about any new locomotive, especially a new release from a new company I am surprised at the limited nature of this choice.

78 CN units  A1A
18 CN B trucks
5 North Alberta A1A

I wonder if they will do foobies.

CN  has good karma.  Now all we wish for are pork chops!

Having said that, I think this is a pretty iconic loco for those in the loop.

So there will be GMD1s before SW1500s??

The hobby industry just doesn't make sense.

That said, those look really cool.

good enough for me  8) whether I actually do end up being able to purchase one, remains to be seen, but sweet nonetheless

Truer words, truer words. But don't blame the Canadian Mfg's, SW1500 was far rarer than the GMD1 up here.

The drawings that've shown for HO show a B-B trucked unit, so I hope we get the same (would love a few of the 1400 series rebuilds). I've no need for a A-1-A GMD1, but I'd bite on one just the same.

Oh yeah, Woo-Hoo  :D
