There were a couple assigned to Renova sometime during the 60s.   Bunch of them were assigned to NJ about the same time.

Yeah, I see that in the book.  Ebenezer Yard in Buffalo got 17 units total assigned there out of the first two orders in the late 40's.  I'm modelling around 1955-57ish so I guess I can fudge 2 units in Renovo.

Stupid question: is the sound version dual-mode (DC/DCC) like the Athearn Chaallenger/Big Boy? If not, why not? Just askin'...

You will have engine sounds in DC, but no control of other sounds.

didn't Bachmann announce the S4 a few months back?
Cheers,

Looks like the sound unit I buy will be getting re-numbered in a heartbeat.
Some Philly and/or South Jersey action is more appropriate for my tastes.

Does anyone know where I might find a list of all the S2s that the PRR had and where they were assigned to?
Just to clarify, I did a giggle search but every site I looked at either had nothing pertinent or was far too confusing.

Ah. I need more of a 1950 assignment list. That way I can choose a road number that was assigned to the Philadelphia area or somewhere in New Jersey. The number i pick will be what my S2 gets re-numbered to.

did all S2s have the split pilot that the PRR had on theirs?

Or

Has anyone seen a pic of the Atlas model that shows the pilot?

And

I'm sure some folks have already considered swapping out the trucks for AAR type to make an S4? Or do I have that wrong?
Cheers,
Scott

How does one go about preordering these babies?

He asks excitedly "Did you say Ménage à Trois?"
No, I said "Ed's Law."
