Hey Josh, I get the idea of keeping the layout Pennsy-pure... but is the trackplan going to provide you with enough operational interest?
That's one of the things I'm currently weighing. I do derive most of my satisfaction in watching coal drags and passenger cars roll on the main line with great scenery. I can always put on another door (or two) down the road. Since I have a two track mainline, I think I could do all eastbound, all westbound, or east and westbound traffic. I'm not very experienced in ops, though so I value any and all input.
After a drag or passenger train has passed through several times then what?
As a self-avowed roundy-rounder, I can attest that for some of us the novelty of watching the same trains transit a scene over and over again doesn't wear off nearly as quickly as it might for an operator like you.
Valid point Dave... Different strokes.I'm just trying to prod Josh a little to take a little more introspective view before he starts laying track.
Culverts anyone?
I'd prefer to tip the nature vs. buildings scale towards nature.
