I've been out and about in pursuit of the local shortline. I finally lucked into them. I'm waiting for the schools darkroom to open so I can process all the telephoto film shots.

Going back a few years, CN train that stalled on the Scarborough Hill getting assistance from pair of GP9's. And yes, that is the CR 'Super Beast' trailing... the SD45-2's were on lease to CN at the time:

The first revenue run out of Boston after last weekend's blizzrd. The train is pulling a wall of snow and bearing down (fast) on Canton Junction.

Nice work today everyone. Where is that RS unit?

Brian, the RS3 is in Northeastern New York, about 45 minutes east northeast of Albany. The Batten Kill Railroad operates 2 RS3s through rural New York scenery, and is the closest thing you can get to a time machine. They have an ex D&H wooden flanger in addition to the locos and are headquartered in the restored freight house in Greenwich NY. Their track is terrible and they're holding on by a thread. The GF won't be back until Sunday so I got a few Valentines day shots of them between Eagle Bridge and Greenwich.

Can't remember the exact date, but it was this last fall. Symington Yard in Winnipeg Manitoba.
