Saw new freight cars from Prairie Shadow/Rapido

I run the Copetown Train Show in partnership with Jason Shron of Rapido and Jason had samples of the Pointe St. Charles CN caboose as well as the new gondola's and bulkhead flats that will be coming through Prairie Shadows.  The prototypes looked spectacular with lots of underbody detail, low ride height, and Canadian prototype fidelity.  Here are copies of the flyer I picked up at Rapido's booth.

The flyer shows two additional versions of the caboose that until yesterday I didn't know would be available.  I ordered both the standard CN and International versions this morning.

If you have an interest in these Prairie Shadows website is http://www.prairieshadows.com/index.cfm When I talked to Jeff this morning the gons and bulkheads should be up on the website within a week or so.

It's totally out of my prototype but I pre-ordered a caboose.  Can't wait to order the flatcars.

I need to see a better copy of the artwork for the bulkhead flatcars - the green on the BCIT bulkheads looks way off.

I am looking forward to seeing these at Calgary Supertrain.

No; I know that Credit Valley Railway in Streetsville, Ontario is taking pre orders for all Prairie Shadows products....
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

How many years has it been since Rapido actually made an N scale product.  Loved the ones I bought but wow it seems like 2-3 years!

It's been a long while. It's almost been 2 years since Jeff got the original sample of the Point St Charles Van. I'm sure the Canadian with all it's intricate parts took alot of time away from these projects. The pace is for sure picking up as the 2 newest cars have only been on the burner for a short while.
