Not the SD40-2 Project again!!!   Isn't that stored in the Smithsonian along with the Ark of the Covenant and all those alien spacecraft from Rosswell???

Yes, and we have our top men are working on it.  That's  Top.  Men.

Maybe other manufacturers are aware of the -2 project and hence will not venture into producing an SD40-2 because they think one is going to be produced. So whoever has started this project needs to finish this century! :x It is hard to believe that nobody would produce this locomotive with its extreme popularity.

Mark5,

I guess you would be correct there however, this may have applied to some of them in the Mid to Late 50

Hey, an HC3a... where's that guy from earlier asking about the PRR 5-bay car?

You are referring to the H32

http://prr.railfan.net/freight/PRRdiagrams.html?diag=h32.gif&fr=cl

Very similar but they could not be filled to the top.

The HC3 is a four bay hopper and the talk about that photo was that back in the 1950 most N&W covered hopper were painted grey on the sides with black ends and roof with white end lettering and black side lettering.

Yes Al,

That scheme (24" N&W) is good from 1951 to about 1956 or 1957 - when N&W dropped the lines above and below the reporting marks/road number.

Great to get some new B&O wagontop Boxcars and cabooses.  Need some of these go go along with them.

I may be a PRR modeler, but i have a soft spot for anything wagon-top.

I'd just be thrilled to see another run of IM F7's or FP7's in Southern Pacific Black Widow, I had some pre-orders but the retailer lost my pre-order I guess as it never showed up and when I sent the order confirmation back asking what happened all I got was..."I'm not sure."

I normally get steller service from this online retailer so I'll not state their name as generally I have been very happy with all other transactions.  Still disappointing though as these engines are so hard to come by.  If anyone has any to sell send me a PM...lol
