So far Mr. Wallet has not moved......were I modeling a modern pike however I would be investigating second mortgages.... The B&O offset car is interesting...I am pondering a scenario for one or two being in British Columbia in 1973.....
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

The Atlas S-2 looks great. Definitely looking forward to it. Did Bachmann have the S-4 there for you to get a good look at? The booth sample took quite a beating in St. Louis.

I see lots of new, great models... but being a Western modeler ca. 1970, aside from the S-2 there's surprisingly little that tickles my wallet. I do like the N Scale Architect curtain wall building bits. That's a very nice, region-free design.

I didn't spot the S-4, but I confess I kind of skimmed past the Bachmann booth.

If anyone wants to see larger versions of these images, they're all in Picasa: https://picasaweb.google.com/dks2855/Amherst2013

Rapido trains announced the Osgood Bradley "American Flyer" cars in N.  looking at 2014ish timeframe  :D

the S2 from Atlas was very nice with lots of etched parts.  Bryan from ESM also had pre production of a New Haven Stainless steel fluted passenger car he was not sure at this point if it would go to production.

Those NSA Curtain Walls sure made a nice looking end product.  I just wonder how many kits, and how much $$$, it cost to make it.

I'mlooking forward to those Osgood Bradlye coaches in N scale, I'll need lots of B&M and BAR and a few New Haven as well.
