27-pin MU cable. Sunrise used to make them. Atlas dash-8s had them. Maybe the parts store?

Yes - I have ordered those from Atlas before.  I have some in a small bag from Atlas and there is the number #487356 written on the outside.  Two parts to a sprue.

I've faked them before with wire. It's a pretty simple part to make.

I must admit that I was hesitant to click on this "Big Pink Hose" thread.

No, I said "Ed's Law."

Yeah, I was kind of wondering who has pink ones! Have seen them in red, yellow and "filth". Never pink! But, as they say, it's your railroad...

I use the Atlas parts and buy them in bulk.  At .50 cents a pair, it's worth it to me to not have to mess with wire, which also saves time.  I've added them to just about all of my engines.  Simple addition that adds a lot to the look of an engine.    After weathering, they almost look pink...

The ones I see most often are on CN locos and everything they own is faded.  And, I do admit after re-reading the title of that post I'd be a bit skeptical about opening it as well<g>.  I'll check out the Atlas offering.  May be quicker than making my own.

Thanks for the info.

The Atlas catalog site is down at the moment.  I'll check later.  I hope they still have these parts.

They do.  I've been ordering them since at least 2008 and just did an order in early December.  Atlas is still doing their 100% inventory, so it might be another week before the online parts catalog is up again.

Not shure if anyone else has noticed but the new EMD units have light blue cables.
Your layouts nice, but it needs more Conrail !
