The treads can be narrowed front both the front and the back. The back can be sanded down about .010" (with great care), and the edge of the tread can be trimmed back from the front around .005" (again with great care). I will post the as-delivered tread width later today when I return home.

Okay, that should be enough to get some variation in tread/pad width and track gauge.

Big props to who ever does the Traxcavator.  :)

Here's a Clerihew about Ed. K.

Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
But mention his law
and you've pulled your last straw!

Alternate version:
Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
He asks excitedly "Did you say Ménage à Trois?"
No, I said "Ed's Law."

Considering that the only promotion of the D2s has been this one thread, I find it quite amazing how they continue to sell. Just received a restock order from MBK: they want 60 this time! (They say people buy them 10-12 at a time.) Yikes! I won't have time to make anything else, ever again!

Dave, how many have been sold so far?
There's a shyness found in reason
Apprehensive influence swallow away
You seem to feel abysmal take it
Then you're careful grace for sure
Kinda like the way you're breathing
Kinda like the way you keep looking away

Dave, how many have been sold so far?

Very roughly around 200. I have to estimate because I filled Karin's orders with whatever I had on hand, and I never stopped to count--I just tossed them in a box and sent them on their way.

I have to ask, how do you invoice without a count?

If you must know, they're paid for after they're sold. Easy enough for Karin to count how many she sells.

... how many she sells.

...by the sea shore?  ;)

Paul, you really think that seeing the model (presumed unassembled and unpainted) in-person looks even better than in the photos? Better than these?
