Until this second I didn't know . When I saw your post yesterday stating you could get me cats I thought you were some sort of a scammer in Alaska . I ordered from you later not knowing you were you . When I first tried 2 days ago I thought it was Shapeways I was to go to get them , but that was me being me .  Some NZT is at Shapeways and some at Stonebridge , that added to my wrongway thinking . I agree that your 6 buck S&H is mad fly ( very reasonable ) and you might be low balling yourself . No rush on my order , feed me last .

And just to add another layer of information to all of this, for those who hadn't realized, Karin of Stonebridge is the brilliant laser artist who cut the masters for the bus and cat.

But, to clarify one other detail, NZT has no products on Shapeways. I have an account there just for R&D.

Who is Loren Snyder?
The paypal system sent me this message:
"You sent a payment of $34.00 USD to Loren Snyder"
That is the $34.00 I paid for 4 caterpillars and S/H.

I still can't beleive these were laser cut sheets. It really is interesting what you can do when you know what you are doing!

Stonebridge has some neat stuff, but nothing I can use. Maybe they could produce a certain series of cut stone depots I have photographed and measured. Hint hint...
There's a shyness found in reason
Apprehensive influence swallow away
You seem to feel abysmal take it
Then you're careful grace for sure
Kinda like the way you're breathing
Kinda like the way you keep looking away

This is what the bus looks like "flat":

"Cut stone" is a keyword for future products, to be sure, but probably not a specific depot on your list.

My drive to push the limits of the laser by going 3D, something most laser operators either avoid or simply won't recognize its possibilities, is what brought David and I into the "partnership" we have in combining our talents. We both know how to draw 3D but its his mastery at drawing that has brought you all the switch machines, air conditioners, and all sorts of accessories that threw NZT into the forefront in accessory production for both N and Z scale, I am enjoying the ride -immensely.

Stonebridge Models has basically been on a bit of a hiatus since the two of us started this work simply because I find greater satisfaction in working with someone of David's caliber therefore doing work for myself simply isn't as fun!  However, not wanting to hijack this thread, he has helped to bring me a new product line to reality with his incredible resin casting technique. Another thread will be started when we're ready. But this bus and the crawler are here to fight over because I asked him if he could fit them into his busy schedule for our new line. Like he said, who knew.

Karin and David,

Incredible innovative designs on both the school bus and the D2.  It's great to see people push the envelope.

Looks like MBK heard the music... just got a very large re-stock order from Shane. And a large re-stock box is already on the way to Stonebridge, so folks should be able to get their fill.

I received my six today.  These things are tiny, and detailed!  All of the operating levers are present in front of the seat!  The body is barely over 5/8" long.  Kudos to all for the tremendous outstanding craftsmanship of this item.

I'm glad you like them, Bryan.

Here's what he's talking about (the levers are .010" wires inserted into lasered holes):

Also present are the gauge cluster (triangular shape to the left of the levers), throttle (rectangle to the right), and transmission (circular shape in the middle).

IMPORTANT ASSEMBLY NOTE: The instructions say to place the body on a .010" shim for assembly. That should be .100" shim.

Bryan, are you going to give yours any kind of treatment such as an inkwash/weathering or paint? If so would you post pictures? Not that these need anything done to them at all but I look forward to seeing how you guys use your crawlers and buses.

Karin,
I will be, but mine are going to be cargo on a Pennsy F41 flat so they won't be weathered much.
