David,

Mine is still in the US but the one I gave to my mate has started like this:

He says it is the best looking model he has done and it will finish up on the layout "Midwest Central" which was featured in the Jan/Feb 2013 N Scale Mag. It will be employed in a limestone quarry.

David indicated that it does need a lot more rust and cunk around the tracks.

Did I read somewhere where a blade for the D2 may be offered later?
Never argue with idiots; they'll drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

Will there be other attcahments? A frame, ripper, log carrier etc.
There's a shyness found in reason
Apprehensive influence swallow away
You seem to feel abysmal take it
Then you're careful grace for sure
Kinda like the way you're breathing
Kinda like the way you keep looking away

No plans for anything beyond the blade at this point.

David,

Was talking to my mate in Indiana this morning and he tells me that he took the little mite to a train show yesterday just south if Indianapolis and they were so impressed. Great score as they are now putting to-gether an order for one of your outlets. That has to speak miles for the item.

For those of you who have not gotten their orders yet, I wanted you to know they are here waiting on other items that you ordered that weren't in stock. Everything should reach me in a day or two. Then off I go to the Post Office, the wonderful land of higher shipping rates. I hope everyone has it out of their system about why dealers have to charge what seems like a lot for shipping. The fact is its Uncle Sam's fault.

Thank you for ordering from us, we appreciate it greatly.

Alaska Railroader,

The order will be coming to you I believe as you were the despatcher of my order.

That is great news, thanks. Hard to believe I've sold over a hundred of the little buggers, and the only advertising has been this one thread!

David,

Now to get the kitbash thing going. My unit will be here in about a week and I already have the kit bash planned. I have a sub contractor who will do the decals for the unit so I hope this will even make it more of a challenge.

Now we need an operator.

I've been wanting to ask, what is the measurement from the center of the tracks (or outside tracks width - single track width) on the D2 and can the tracks be narrowed from the backside with the way it's designed?

I haven't measured them, but the outside width of an assembled D2 is slightly less than the diameter of a dime.  There was a weathered one on display at my table at Amherst this weekend.

The treads can be narrowed front both the front and the back. The back can be sanded down about .010" (with great care), and the edge of the tread can be trimmed back from the front around .005" (again with great care). I will post the as-delivered tread width later today when I return home.
