SPF take a look H9 tender shell on shapeways

He also has an H9 shell but hes awaiting his test print of it but says it should be done in early feb

I`m not sure what class of tender that is but can anyone tell me what other engines it would be used with?

Is it me, or are those rivets huge?

It's not you.

The rivets aren't rounded either, which adds to the oversized appearance.  If the designer would add a fillet to the rivet edges, it would help tremendously.  If that were done, I wouldn't mind seeing this printed in XHD at some point.

I suggested this to him but he never responded to me.  It may be more a matter of the CAD software he is using.

The rendering lines are nearly a deal killer...  But if I ever do start my next H-class kitbash I'll be considering it.

Maybe we are not using the system to do what it would do best .

Stone walls that light surface sanding to remove objectionable printing lines won't matter to texture .

I mentioned that he should also render tender trucks that will take the Bachmann pick-up strips. We could use regular Andrews leaf spring trucks and I'm sure you PRR guys could use some PRR tender trucks.

A nice etched wrapper would fix that shell

Hi Folks.
I am with you Brian. do it as a flat kit and then put it to-gether. I would buy a  number but with all the FUD, DUD, CRUD and MUD I will be leaving it exactly where it is made. This is rapid prototyping not rapid manufacturing and let us not forget that.

The rivets wouldn't bug me I'm a 2 foot modeler

Would this class tender be behind an L1?
I have 2 GHQ L1 kits but both tenders where messed are pitted and done rivet detail is gone
