Milwaukee Erie built question
« on: December 15, 2012, 06:52:33 PM »

My early Milwaukee Erie built project is coming along well.
There are plenty of photos of the nose and grille but I haven't been able to find any photos that detail the rear of these engines.
Does anyone here have any information or photos they could share?
I'm specifically interested in what is to the right of the diaphram that the roof piping appears to run to.

Thanks
Jim

Jim,

Page 82 of Fred Hyde's Milwaukee Road Diesel Power has a great shot of the rear end. There is a small rectangular radiator located there. Here is a quick phone photo grab in case you don't have the book.

Best wishes, Dave

Jim check your mail, I PM'd you some info. From the look of Dave's shot there seemed to be a couple
of variations. In the picture below you can see the pipe going along the roof and going down over
the rear but the shot Dave has doesn't show this. I cant remember where I got this shot but I think it
was a scan from one of the Morning Sun books.
