Those backdrops look great! I was up in Fort Nelson for work a few weeks ago and you have done an excellent job of capturing the essence of the area. Well done! Now I just need to get you to Prince George so I can get my PG Pulp backdrop completed.

Photoshop is your friend for these projects!.   If the PG Mill looks anything like the Fort Nelson one I can always send you the prints that ended up on the cutting room floor LOL.    May be swinging through PG next summer so I will bring the camera

Haven't made any progress on anything, since I'm never home, but I finally got my Freight House from Monster Model Works in the mail.  And holy crap this thing is sweet.  This is, by far, the best-looking structure kit I've ever seen in N scale.  Not necessarily in end result (a freight house isn't exactly a great looker) but the quality of this kit is outstanding.  The directions are great, and there's even a large, separate ~10-page guide on painting/weathering with some great tips.  I wish I could justify a building twice this size just so I could buy another, and now I'm struggling whether I want to work on this kit or the M420 over the Xmas holidays.

My progress is not photogenic, but I feel is pretty substantial.  I am working on the CN Cisco bridge from the plans in Mainline Modeller and I have pretty much figured out how to do it with styrene parts and strips.  I'll use a mixture of webbing from ME HO towers with some Central Valley lacing as well.  Together with some styrene strips, I can see how this will all come together.  I'm debating the rivets, but will probably go with Archer decal rivets, which look pretty snazzy.

I'm gearing up for my trip to BC next week and a visit to the prototype Cisco as well.  Can't wait!

Thanks to the Dr. and Z-Paks I am upright again and able to make it though the day.

Took some time off from working on the west end industrial complex while I wait for some details to arrive in the mail to further the scene. So I started working on the Monster Model & Laserworks Brick Freight house that arrived in the mail the other day that is going to be used to house the Amtrak Administrative offices on the east end of the layout. I really like the brickwork in the kit. There are a few things I am changing such as the details in the kit. All of the ladders, pipes, drains and what not IMO should have been etched brass and brass wire/tube for the kits cost instead of laserboard and basswood. The cost of the kit I'm assuming is due to the laser time required to make the weathered brick.  The kit, is also very small when you have been building other structures to scale... I mean its 6" long, but when next to the scale size warehouse I have, this thing is dwarfed. I am working on making it part of a larger complex that had been torn down, with this being the only part remaining. I'm also thinking of seeing how much it would cost me to have Jimmy do the HO sized one in N.

I’ve been so busy with castings and parts for others... I had to have some U.P. therapy.  Here is the engine I started Sunday.  My new casting of an FEF-2 with significant improvement over original casting.

Oh Jason, that FEF-2 is SWEET...Are you now using integral color? Looks really good! Glad you got some "therapy" away from doing work for those darn "others"....

That's what happens when you use a jigsaw AFTER you lay track. I spent several hours today relaying tracks 2 and 3 in this area.

Hey everyone, nice work as always. This is the first time I am posting a model photo here (that I can remember.) I have an old Atlas RS-3 that I custom painted in a New Haven scheme years ago. Atlas, of course, came out with this scheme right after I finished mine. Anyway, it still runs pretty nice and I like the unit a lot.
