Please dont shoot the messenger. This is not a discussion of one forum vs. another, lets keep it positive and on point.

I am a fan of Special-Run cars that are prototype or proto-lanced, I know many folks on this side of the fence are as well. Pretty neat car and a good fit for you middle states types.

Just wanted to pass this along in support of our fellow N Scale folks.

Thank you thank you thank you. For bringing this to our (my) attention. I would not have known about it otherwise.

I live on the M-I (or, rather, what isn't left of it). It would not help my local railfan cred one bit if I failed to have this car in the fleet. Already ordered.

Hmm... I should've ordered two... one for the local history museum, where I'm the de facto RR curator. We have no models of M-I rolling stock, and this would fill the gap.

Not of the MT car yet, still waiting on the artwork from MT.  I'm still on the fence for this car, as it does not fit my era.

Very nice.  I would not have been aware either.

My Grandfather worked for the "Mike 'n Ike" in the early 1940's - lived in Nashville, IL and was on the B&B gang that covered the Illinois side from Salem to Kellogg.

This fits into my Illinois Central/GM&O early 70's era perfectly!

I had never heard of the MI.

It is a little early for CSX-- but I can always put stuff in a deadline.  Already ordered mine.

I did a google search and found this. This must be newly posted to Trainboard. They were waiting for Micro-Trains to send them pics:

Hmm... still no banana
car...

Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.
The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.

Anyone know if this will fit my era of 1950-1960?
I like this car and would like one but want to make sure if it fits first.  :)

The photo I linked to looks like it was built in 1967. That's in line with the late 60s timeline I read about on Trainboard.

Hmm... imagine that. Kiz
can read...

If it has roof walks then surely it was built before 1967.

The proto shots on the TB show modern info symbols and stuff . If this shot here is the EXACT paint and lettering , then I could live with it  . TB needs to be more exact in the lettering so I can decide .

I don't get it. What's the story with that car?
