Looks like the wood chip hoppers all have friction bearing trucks.  Is that correct?  I like the Seaboard System cars but can't imagine friction bearing trucks still being in much use by 1983-86 (the SBD years).

What year where friction bearing trucks banned for interchange? I read in MR freight car book 1990 and I read online in a MR  article it was 1980. What year where they banned?      Thanks Rich

And besides that :D , wood chip service was/is usually not interchanged. It is a very-low-value commodity that typically is a discount deal running on the home RR only.

A huge number of older trucks previously equipped with friction bearings were refitted with roller bearings with the only real way of identifying the conversion was the removal of the little door where the grease was added.  While recently released in HO there is no example in N-scale as of yet.

Excellent news!

CP had a few offset side hoopers with rib side extenisions in amongst the 356000-356024 and 358000-358599 series - I know the first run's barely been annouced but any chance we might see the multimark (and script) in the second run?

Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

Found the pic of the script car in the Morning Sun CP Color Guide. We've not seen pics of the multi-mark version. Either of you have a link you could share? We'd love to do them both.
