Heh, just found that one, too.  There's some reference to it still being standing as of 4 years ago, but the link is private.  I'm searching on the map sites to see if I can track it down.  Would be great to see how it looks after all these years.

In between the buildings, under the laundry--

As it happens, I've been thinking of modeling this very scene.

How about a Genco Olive Oil Company or the Feast of San Gennaro?

I really like the silo complex there and absolutely love that stakebed truck! And awnings over the first floor windows of a factory?????

This is the silo in the background:

Amazing scene. You have concrete silos, a multi-level and multi-gabled mill with an "almost" ghost sign, then a brick building to the right of that. Then the mammoth brick furniture factory behind the photographer (correct?). Classic modeling scene......

I don't know, I may have to break down and start a layout in N scale. But it will not have anything remotely like yours and David's on it, Chris. Who wants to knowingly embarrass themselves?!?!

Come on in the water is fine.   :D

Fit a 24"x 48" bed on the laser and raster the whole thing.  :o

The water's fine, he says. I've had my head in a bucket of Z water too long. I look at all the detail that is "expected" in N scale and realize yes, I can do it and enjoy it very much, especially because I have lasers. But show it here on TRW? I'm not THAT crazy!

Speaking of lasers I am getting another one. Instead of just the 12"x18" vector table I will have an 18"x37" so maybe I should give your idea a try! Yah shore!

We are also adding a whole 600+ sq ft room to the house just for train layouts so space should not be an issue. Well except for the husband who plans to fill it with Z :D   OK, OK, so I get 80 of those squarish feet to expand my shop, still.......

Karin, think about it: you've already shown your work on TRW, and the guys love it. At the very least, you can expect two things: 1, honest and useful constructive criticism, and 2, praise that's genuine and meaningful.

And just for giggles, here's a track plan I did for someone else some time ago that just happens to be 18"x 37" ;) (actually, it was originally 18"x 36") as an example of what you can do in that kind of space in N scale.

Very sneaky.... I just mentioned to hubby that I should start that N layout but didn't have a track plan in mind. You guys are messing with my head ya know.
