When i saw the enginehouse pic i thought "no one..." And then I remembered who was building this. Cant wait to see that come about.

Yes, I've seen that building many times. It's located right on the NE Corridor, and when I commuted to Manhattan for a few years, I rode right by it.

After playing musical chairs with a few of the last structures to build for the layout, I wound up with a hole to fill. What used to be the Rapid Freight Company is now a pencil manufacturer.

General Pencil Company got its humble beginnings from the back walls of Reed Books, which I bought in "bulk" for the apartment building. These back walls, together with some odds and ends, made up the pencil company.







The basic design was inspired by Chris Schmuck's building for the same spot. Only fair that a copier gets copied, right? I was going to name the business after him, too, but his name is not very well suited (nothing personal, mind you).

Haha  copy cat...  So what if I scrap my building and copy yours. Is that how time travel happens?

You trumped me with the multiple roof heights, I like that much better. Reminds me of a stepped wooden building George Sellios building near his city tunnel scene.
