No offense to lovers of muscle cars, but in my opinion we really need the more common types that are found in parking lots, stores, bars, etc... I also have enough fire engines and buses at this point as well. Okay, have I offended just about everyone yet?  :)

I would also really welcome a thread by somebody(ies) on how to shrink cast cars.

As long as it's a '72 or earlier, I'm in. My 2 bi-level auto racks I won on ebay came today, and they're so empty.

Muscle 
cars tend to have long lives although they don't always look thier best around owner three.  Trucks tend to get really beat up by thier second owners.  Cheap small cars (especially those of the 60/70s) didn't last long while sedans and estates almost always just soldier on for years in quiet decline.  While it is possible and even plausable to have almost any vehicle after production began too many of anything is a problem.

As a special request I would love to get a bunch of plain old Saturn sedans for a car dealership...

Outstanding. Thank you. I have a number of old Matchbox cars, as well as a few newer 1/64th scale cars, that I absolutely have to try this out on. Including a 1960 Ford station wagon and a 1964 Studebaker Lark Wagonaire. (The one with the sliding roof section.)

If I understand correctly, (always suspect) and the shrink rate is 66%, two "shrinks" should get me to .0068. which is awfully close to N-scale's .00625. At least close enough for me. Wish me luck.

Oh, and as for hollowing out with a dremel.... Yea. Right. No problemo. :facepalm:

I'm already working on a '60 Ford station wagon.

There actually is a diecast Blues Brothers vehicle around, but I can't remember what scale it is or how accurate it looks.  I think it even comes with the giant loudspeaker on the roof.  There is also a diecast Gremlin, but the proportions are not very good.  The diecast AMC Pacer has pretty good proportions but I don't think I could sell enough to recover my costs.  I agree with Dave that there needs to be more common vehicles available.

The problem with a lot of diecast cars are that they are only caricatures of the real thing.
