I've been looking for steam mechanisms for kitbashing and came across this site...
http://www.newhallstation.com

They seem to have a lot of N scale and all the manufacturers (Tomix, Microace, Kato).

Don't know if it's of any use to anyone, but thought I'd let you know.

Regards,
Frank Musick

:o at the price on the Tomix Mallets - I think I bought mine for less than a third of that price when they came out 5-6 years ago.

NewHall is the place of last resort as they typically double to tripple the retail price on many hard to find items. If you want it at any cost, they can be useful.

I don't have much use for Japanese steam, but I've ordered other Japanese stuff fromPlaza Japan on eBay and find their prices much mor reasonable.

AFAIK, Japanese MicroAce Mallets have been long out of production. Did you actually check if Newhall Station has them in stock?

I have had good success using Ebay.  Plaza Japan I believe has an Ebay store.  I have also found guys selling used Kato Japanese steamers on the bay.
