haven't posted in awhile...have been away from the RR for a spell as my daughter graduated HS this month....
finally got back to some scenery at the north end of the paper mill:

Looking good there, especially that Kentucky red clay.

Any chance of a helicopter shot and fly by of the entire mill complex?

the cob-web train......
i have some hidden track and trains would often appear from staging with cobwebs on the front of the lead unit.
i run this before each session, a LL FA unit wrapped with painters tape sticky side out, pulling the track cleaning car along for the ride

That's pretty slick! I've thought of a similar approach, except to use light gauge wire curved backwards from the powered unit in order to catch more of the critter's nests. The wires would bend back through portals but expand a bit inside. However, I wouldn't be able to run it backward, but a once-through in one direction should be sufficient.

I notice you have the coal delivery track on the other side of the main, as well as a few more sidings on the end with the kraft building.  What are those other sidings for ?

The track in the left foreground, visible just to the left of the silo, goes to the edge of the scenery and theoretically beyond. It's the track where woodchip hoppers and pulpwood racks are set out. A partial wood chip pile will be modeled. The pulpwood pile is 'in the aisle', as is the power plant near the coal unloading shed.

The two tracks just to the right of the silo (on the same side of the main) are yard tracks where cars are stored before setouts, after pick ups, during switching the mill, etc.

Where does the short line run, so we can give some suggestions that would geographically make sense for a small road?

the name may come down to the decals i could get. i have an old set of CONRAIL decails, so i can piece together a name or initials using as many as 8 of esch of these letters. I started with NS units with striped pilots. so i didnt' paint the under frame at all. green over black is based on Paducah and Louisville units that i recalled seeing once i knew I was staying with the black on bottom.
