Burlington Northern green - which one is the right one?

As I have several Burlington Northern diesels I'm interested to know which manufacturers green is the best matching.
Back in the 1990s I bought my first BN engine, a Kato SD40 in a light green..shortly after it I got an Kato U30C also painted that light green...looks nice but then I got a trio of katos SD45 in green..it was darker and now I have them standing side by side and it looks like someone painted them without a plan so if one knows the right green it would be helpful

That's the BN way.

Seriously.

There truly is no such thing as BN Green.  Many shops painted locomotives, and there was no consistency in precisely what color they were painted.  Even at the same shop, there was no particular consistency.  I worked at Havelock Shops for a number of years, where many BN locos were painted, and asked the guys in the paint shop (at one time, I was looking at modeling BN, and painted a number of units) and they said the color was different all the time.  Sometimes dark, sometimes bright -- as long as it was Green, it was good.

Sometimes in modeling the differences can be starker than one would like.  A little light weathering will usually smooth out the majority of the variation and bring everything down to something a little more consistent.

They look like real BN green...

Over time paint fades, also BN had locos painted all over the BN system and from both loco manufacturers, so different greens came from them also.

Figure I'd add on too this question...

Which manufactuer's BN green is the darkest? Foquil/Polly scale seems way too light.

If N scale had good SD40-2s, C30-7s, U30Cs, SD45s, SD40s, and SW10s; I'd be in N scale.
