Need to retract my last last statement, trucks shrunk over night . Now the FVM .540 wheelsets fit in and the have good rolling quality.

The car will be on our normal stock list, although we are already having to re-run the car as we have sold out already! New stock should be here next week.

We have found someone who is looking at casting them - we have no capability to do resin, and no plans to get involved - after Alan ditched his pressure vessel just days before I asked about it after saying that I was not going to get involved!

Any useful pictures of large/very large gen sets/transformers etc. for depressed center cars including the FD2 from the 1940's-1970's would be very helpful.

Can anyone tell me how this car was handled in a train? Did it usually get it's own train or was it run in whichever train was going the right way?

Yeah I'd love to hear more about this. I've heard of railroads running backwards business cars behind them so the deck faces the load. Not sure if Pennsy did that at all.

Usually they were Specials.  Most likely motive power / spacer car (gondola or flat) / FD2 / spacer car (gondola or flat) / cabin car.
