I know Kato recently announced the E5 but I just finished an A-B set from resin shells on Life-Like mechanisms. Of interest is that I visited IRM today and rode behind 9911A in the Nebraska Zephyr. I snagged the last parlor car seat in the observation. Sweet ride !!!

Of interest to anyone that might want to find out the pedigree of these CB&Q E5a and E5b resin shells... The masters were made by Gregg Scott of GHQ a few years ago and then cast by Joe Valerio. Joe just recreated the molds for another run and he is selling them by mail order. Can't remember the price off hand, but if you are interested, speak up!

And the reason the nose looks right is because it is! :o

It also has the nose grabs which adds to the visual , the Kato does not which detracts from the visual . It is hard to compare the two visually with different appliances . Nobody has measurements or exact drawings here . I think we need to give Kato the benefit of a doubt till we can prove the points brought up .
