There might be a correlation that would explain why it has been so long since we have sen a new locomotive from Atlas.

The main reason is/was the supply problems we were having with our main supplier.  Now that we have moved production to other factories, things should start coming out on a more regular basis.  It is still going to take some time to get fully up to speed though.

Thats very good to know Paul as I always thought there was a drought in N scale locos from Atlas.

How about getting up to Heisler speed , it won't take away from Shay sales , it will increase them because of more enthusiasm in the family of geared locos .

Great news! When can we expect the N scale GP40-2W announcement?

I agree a heisler would be ideal, but i'd also like to see that next production run of the shay, so that hopefully I can get the replacement parts I need for my shay.

It sounded like a good idea at the time... too bad the caboose wasn't in on the plan.

Most of us have been asking for the Alco S units and now we finally have them.  Another loco that's really wanted is the SW-1500.  Could this be in our future?

I would happily relegate my kitbashed GP40W if Atlas would do some scaling of their CAD drawings.
