I'll be in for just one PRR... if i can get a straight answer as to whether or not this is actually being outfitted for sound capabilities. -Cody F.
The era-appropriate Chicago and New York ones should be easy . . . . .
....so; if this locomotive doesn't have sound you won't purchase it.....really; how many n scale locomotives have you purchased with sound.....and for what price ?The Alco S series switcher is one of the most anticipated locomotives in recent memory and to have Atlas soing it ( as well as Bachmann) is a bonus....let's not start dissing something because it may not have sound...."zonks"
Yes, we are trying to match up the appropriate politician to the paint schemes & road numbers. You figured it out.
No, this is all new tooling. Nothing is reused from any earlier models.
Kind of a bummer......I want S-4s as well, but I don't want them to say Bachmann on the bottom Maybe you guys could tool up some S-4 sideframes as well, you know, after you bring this model to market.....I mean, if your already 90% there.....why not take the extra step? Tooling up a sideframe seems easier than tooling whole loco......I am, of course, ignoring the other less noticeable differences between S-2s and S-4s.....I prefer Atlas for the quality, parts availability, and you can dissasemble them if you like to paint your own, that other company love using glue, even on "undecs", if you can call them that The "speaker box" only sweetens the deal, IMHO, let's hope there is a sound decoder to go with it!
I suppose from reading this thread, I'm the only one whose Arnold S2 will soldier on, but only because it's in those special colours (orange and black) that make anything look better.
