To our heroes at Atlas......
I look forward to adding a few of these to my roster......Thanks for listening...

I was wondering if these will have the same truck "guts" as the VO-1000? Or, more specifically, will the VO-1000 truck sideframes fit these? Or, is there a bottom pic I can see?

Yep this is timely news for the Brooklyn Trans Hudson, but any chance or word or intent on an S-1?

Regardless I'm in for at least an Undec unit.

Please, please, please do an NKP release, in the mid-50's scheme with the full end stripes, at some point.

The early all-black and 1960s wider stripe (w/yellow frame) are of less interest to me.

I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.

Glad
that the speaker will be available and hopefully perfected for the eventual SW1500, DH643, SDP45 and SD45X...

No, this is all new tooling.  Nothing is reused from any earlier models.

Can we at least get a couple of runs out of this model?

No   :D

TBH it doesn't matter to me but the real railroads happened to have S1's in the area I want to model and if I don't do it right I'll loose my  :ashat: licence.

Wonder what the street price will be. Bet dealers are chafing at the bit. First new Atlas loco in a long time.  I'm definitely in for one. Maybe a couple if the budget allows by then. I don't plan on any major yards, so I really don't need one.

I wonder how it would go if, instead of six or so road names, Atlas released 20. Certainly enough marketable road names for this unit. Of course, if they release too many undecs, no second run purchases. I wish Atlas success on this one.

Would the other be the 4-4-0?  First new diesel in a long time!

Who said anything about sound?  I just said the box was for the speaker.

:scared:A horrible thought, what if that means it's coming with a miniature politician!?! :scared: :scared:
At least they'll be in a box!

Yes, we are trying to match up the appropriate politician to the paint schemes & road numbers.  You figured it out.

The era-appropriate Chicago and New York ones should be easy . . . . .
