The V1 Turbine! I'm proud to say I've actually heard of this before!
Josh Surkosky

Here's a Clerihew about Ed. K.

Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
But mention his law
and you've pulled your last straw!

Alternate version:
Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
He asks excitedly "Did you say Ménage à Trois?"
No, I said "Ed's Law."

You guys gave me an idea...Using the same running gear that I would use for the Centipede I made a quick concept from the patent drawing...

The power trucks are from a DD-40, the lead trucks are from a GG1 and the tender trucks are from a Berkshire tender. It's not exactly a foobie because it actually was conceived and designed. Not as pretty as the C&O M1.

Kind of like this Union Pacific Centipede set...
It was actually built but UP cancelled the order. It ended up in Baldwin demo paint.

Well, if you want to use an actual centipede, there is one on ebay for a mere $2300.

Plenty dang close enough for something that was never actually built. Now, if Jason would just do the shell...

PS - Sorry for the thread hijack, but I've got a severe soft spot for the V1.

I'm watching that one. I want to see how much someone will pay for something barely a foot long. Wonder how much it will cost to get it to run well (if it doesn't end up on a shelf)

Hell, I've purchased real automobiles for that kind of money.

The foam spine technique looks really cool. I know you keep working on your blog, but either a thread here or an article in one of the mags would be most welcome.

Hmmm...Hadn't really thought about that. The main reason I stay with the blog is the ease of uploading and handling the images. Writing it up here means I have to host the images at Comcast and several other steps. Eventually I run out of space and have to delete some, which means wherever they were posted can't access them and you see a empty placeholder. On the blog I just upload and insert them. After that they are always available.

Anyway. I had once written Pam at N Scale mag about an article and the only problem was something to write about. The Agg isn't finished enough to expose it to the general public..."Oh Wow! Blank Plywood!...Let me read this interesting article...NOT"

Maybe the styrospline thing might be just the ticket. I'll contact Pam again and see if she's interested.

Just link to the same images on your blog in the image icon.  I don't think it matters where you host them.
